Teresa Lee Centofante, P.E. is a professional engineer with over 25 years experience in water and wastewater engineering. For the past 15 years, Teresa has provided engineering services in her Women’s Owned Business in Oneonta, NY. Servicing all of Otsego and Delaware Counties, and portions of Herkimer, Chenango and Broome Counties.

She graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, worked in Environmental Conservations and Public Health, gaining experience in the regulatory compliance, overseeing projects in water supply, commercial wastewater treatment, restaurants, mobile homes and transient housing. She left public service to concentrate on innovative Water Treatment Systems for Delaware Engineering, PC. For the past 15 years she has done independent design work in on-site septic systems, stormwater design, on site construction inspection and client permit processing. She also holds a certified IPM license.
My approach is simple: I make working with a local engineer easy and stress-free, especially for homeowners taking on one-time projects. I focus on clear communication, plain-language explanations, and guiding clients through each step so nothing feels overwhelming. As an independent engineer—not a large firm—I’m approachable, responsive, and easy to work with from start to finish.
